I have acquired a Coronet No1 lathe.

1. Was this lathe made by Record Power after they had taken over Coronet, it looks identical to a Record Power lathe, would Record Power spares e.g drive belt / bearings / spindle fit ?

2. The on /off switch is just that, just like an old light switch, but with a red, detachable "isolator cover" on the actual switch lever. This is on the way out, so could I either fit a new type no volt release switch in its place?

Your lathe will be a Record one if it is identical to the current model. Spare parts are generally available. With regard to the switch, we do offer a no volt/release version, please contact us for further details.
